There are a few doctors making headway like this. A doctor who treated me for "canalicular stenosis" because I was tearing after cancer treatment. Several other doctors saw me and said nothing can be done. Dr Thiagarajah saw me and said he thought it was worth a shot to try and open the tear ducts. In short he tried it, it worked and now I don't tear like crazy. His website was dceyelid.com. Gotta love someone who thinks out of the box.

Integrative oncology is so important. At muy center, The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology we use and coordinate the best evidence-based treatments (i.e. surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy) with complimentary modalities (i.e. acupuncture, massage, stress reduction, herbal/botanicals, etc.) with the goal of treating the cancer, preventing recurrence and reducing side effects and symptoms. We do all of this in an environment that soothes and nurtures the patient.

No matter what kind of treatment a cancer patient receives, the fight against cancer is more than a physical challenge. It impacts everything from emotional well-being to financial stability. I believe that caring for a patient is caring for a person. I and my staff realize that people exist within a matrix of family, friends, jobs, homes, neighborhoods, geographical areas, and psychological and cultural environments, all of which can influence health and disease. Our mission is to develop a treatment plan that is right for our patients and their loved ones in an environment that supports and nurtures them.

Going to a physician who believes in integrative oncology won’t change your diagnosis, but it will put your body in a better place to get healthy.

Marijuana: The Forbidden Cure for Cancer
There are allot of folks out there being cured of cancer, even terminal cancer with marijuana. Skin Cancer, Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, Prostrate Cancer, Brain Cancer, and others are being cured with a natural marijuana medicine. The website below links into research and video on the subject. There is even a film there on how to make the medicine and even dosages. You can avoid having your body poisoned with Chemotherapy and Radiation. The medicine from marijuana is natural. Check it out for yourself.

Hi Terry,
My name is Liz and I came across your blog a while ago. I have to agree with your last post that in order to change the culture of our health industry it has to be done at the most basic level. It has been a long while since your last post, I hope that you are doing really well.
That said, since your blog is a great resource for someone going through cancer I wanted to reach out to you to see if you were interested in a new online social support network (that I am the community manager of!) called I Had Cancer. It is a new and free social support network focused on connecting people based on experiences with cancer so that they can easily communicate with one another and share information. I would love to tell you more if you are interested, so please let me know! Because I was so struck by your writing I would love to send you an early-access pass with extra invites for others you may know going through this journey.

Either way, thank you so much for your writing. Take care and best regards.

It is very questionable the rights humans are allowed with their own body. It is not the parent 'making' the decision for the child but enabling it for them, while the government says "no, you're not old enough to make that decision and we will take you from your home and force our treatments on you in the name of your safety." If a child is old enough to die, than they are old enough to decide how to live.

I remember the state tried to force my brother to take ADD meds because he was disrupted to the classroom. My parents fought a long battle, and finally won, but their rights and insights as parents were never valued. America pushes for the quick fix, the pill pop, the backwards add something new to heal, instead of the removing of the poor environment that caused the disease in the first place. Hopefully our rights as humans to choose how we live and die will be heard someday here.
